Hi

I'm running 1.3 on Debian lenny, and Ubuntu is based on Debian...

All packages were installed with apt-get, although Tomcat 6 was taken from
squeeze (testing).

I'm running Tomcat 6 installed from the Debian package with two issues. One
is noted below and the other has to do with pointing Mifos to a
configuration file in Debian.

I've raised this previously, but never put the time into a full resolution.

I currently disable Tomcat security by editing the file
/etc/default/tomcat6, but this is not a satisfactory solution for a
production system.

guywithcable's approach is the correct one, but he has effectively granted
all permissions to Mifos in the same way that the database is set up with
"grant all..." where the aim should be to grant only the necessary and
sufficient permissions.

My intention, when I find the time, is to find and apply just those
permissions required to get Mifos to run with security enabled.

I've never had a problem with this.

Graeme
