I had taken a demo of several application for my institution. My experience
is as :
If you install mifos that is great.But do you follow the server client
methodology means that you install mifos on server, pls check.
If you plan mifos for your NGO Please go through this step.

As you know that Mifos is web base utility the world`s demanding right now.
Now I tell you the positive and the Negative of Mifos as per My opinion.
*Negative.*
Deployment cost is high.
Mifos is in developing stage It is not fully functional application.
MIS is the heart of MFI here Mifos fails.
Mysql have some limitations when data is too big choise is yours.
Java is a developing language its difficult to find out the experts in India
although you should keep touch with the Mifos users.
Mifos is not a teller made software.
ZERO in accounting, you must keep another application for accounting.Means
double labour.Its acts only a database.

If you are not in hurry then keep my words It becomes the *BEST* application
for MFI worldwide.
Technology used in Mifos is latest till date most important easy to use with
web interface.
The Mifos architecture is the finest for everybody.
World wide users to whom you may contact for any solution.
