Gayl, I highlighted this in my other e-mail to Kerechi. As Udai says, you cannot start Mifos and then change the COA afterwards, it has to be set before the first book of Mifos on a fresh database. This is because on that first boot, Mifos loads the chart of accounts into the db, so removing/changing afterwards will create conflicts.
I don't believe the dashes would cause issues as I believe Microbiz (Neil, could you comment?) did the same without issues, but I am not 100% certain. May have to test that.
