Julio,
I'm back from vacation and very excited to see all the progress you're
continuing to make.
Thank you for the suggestions on the UI translations. We are actually needing
to update quite a few strings that aren't properly translated or not translated
at all that have been discovered by one of our customers in Mexico.
Let me discuss this with our team and figure out how you can help in getting
these outstanding areas of the product translated - in the meanwhile I'll get
feedback once again on your suggested changes to the screens.
Thanks,
Ed

Subject: Re: [Mifos-users] Translate Mifos Documentation - spanish volunteer
Thanks a lot Ryan,
I'm very glad to contribute, till the 30th of October I should normally be able
to make good progress. After the first feedback I've adjusted my translations a
bit, and having translated a few more pages, hopefully they also got better and
more homogeneous.
The section of Bulk Transaction Processing is now translated as well:
How to enter Collection Sheet data
<http://translate.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Mifos_es/HowToEnterCollectionSheetData>
How to create multiple loans (bulk loan creation)
<http://translate.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Mifos_es/HowToCreateBulkMultipleLoans>
How to approve multiple loans (bulk loan approval)
<http://translate.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Mifos_es/HowToApproveMultipleLoansBulkLoanApproval>
How to import transactions
<http://translate.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Mifos_es/HowToImportTransactions>
I'll continue translating Saving Accounts.
FYI, I'm also updating an excel file with suggested translation updates on the
spanish Mifos screens. You can find it enclosed. As always, any feedback is
welcome.
Cheers,
Julio

Hi Ed,
Thanks a lot for the review, it will help me for the
next translations. I'll correct the page accordingly, and will use her choice
of words, they are better, I was maybe too influenced by the English version
words or expressions.
The omissions were just due to the screenshots, from
now on I'll still translate in those cases (and keep note of screenshots to be
updated and report it at the end). About the spellchecker, I didn't see Spanish
as possible language in the spellcheck of the WYSIWYG editor. But you are
right, I'll definitely use a spellchecker for the remaining pages, it's much
safer.
Have a nice vacation!
Cheers,
Julio

Julio,
Claudia one of our volunteer translator has graciously
and quickly did a quick review of your translation.
She only caught a few minor errors and omissions and in
general thought it was quite good and accurate.
Attached is her word doc with edits. She's bolded her
recommended modifications and also made some spelling corrections that spell
checker picked up. Did you try using the spellcheck built into the WYSIWYG
editor?
Most of her modifications are only suggestions and
style or choice of word related. Therefore she recommends you use your
judgment on whether or not you'd like to incorporate these changes into your
edits.
Once again, great start and keep the pages coming.
I'll be out on vacation this upcoming week but others
will be able to respond to any queries you have on the lists.
Best,
Ed

Thanks Ed,
In the coming month I'll have some free time which I
would like to dedicate to this, and hopefully I can get a good number of pages
done. So any feedback is very welcome to make sure I get it right..

I've completed the translation of this page ->
http://translate.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Mifos_es/Howtoviewandcreatesurveys
This page looks very good. I'm having one of our Latin
America staff do a quick review. I'll pass along any feedback if they have any.
. In case the fix must wait, in the spanish
documentation itself, could I leave the untranslated button name (with
untranslated screenshot) and write a kind of warning (for later review)?
Yes I think it's fine to insert the screenshot with
some of the terms untranslated and to keep note that we'll need to update that
image later.
Look forwarding to seeing more pages come through.
Thanks again!
