Ed,
Thanks for sharing the notes from this morning's meeting.
A question regarding the Priority Gaps. After reading them, I noticed that one
of the gaps looks like it might be more of an issue with how they are using
Mifos as opposed to something that needs a feature. This brings up two points:
1. As a community, we need to fully investigate feature requests to understand
the business case and develop something appropriate. In my years of working
with customers, and I mean outside of Mifos as well, they aren't always able to
articulate what they need, or the full details don't come across, or describe
what they need as a solution as opposed to describing the problem. By no means
is it intentional, it's just a natural part of the process. And on the flip
side, we need to make sure we communicate our solutions back to the customer,
both so they can make sure they understand it but also to verify that WE
understood the problem as well. I have a feeling a lot of us know this, but
just wanted to reiterate it.
2. How do we reach out to customers? What's the correct way to do that?
Through you or...?

So many people... are conditioned to a life of security, conformity and
conservatism, all of which appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality
nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure
future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for
adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and
hence there is no greater joy than to have and endlessly changing horizon, for
each day to have a new and different sun.
