I agree.  MT has made it clear that most problems are welcome for
inputting but zero for interaction/tracking.   Building an external
tracking system that then is used to feed into them with no expectations
of results/answers is the correct way to address this.   A bug tracking
system would allow US to keep track of resolutions that are or are not
reported in the releases and could reduce a lot tail chasing.
