When your packet size ratio is 10:1 (see Josh's post) then you get 10
bytes down for each byte up in each packet pair. Also, since packet
size is variable the ratios can change over time.
Since UDP data does not require an ACK response, the ratio of TCP/UDP
data will make a difference in both your packet and data ratios.

So I really am comparing apples to oranges then...

Upload packets are typically smaller. So the byte counts dl/ul might be
10:1. But if there are fewer bytes in each packet on the upload, the dl/ul
packet ratio could easily be 10:7.

I'm confused as to what size has to do with it. The counters are
quantities, correct?

Anyone have any ideas why my network would only have a 10:1 (10%)

byte / upload byte ratio yet the packet ratio is 10:7 (70%)?
