OK, it's still confusing to me so here is an analogy of how I'm looking at
it: You have a 10,000 cars that travel south (download) through a tunnel
per day and 1,000 travel through it north (upload) = (10:1). Those cars
carry anywhere from 1-4 people (packets) (lol, no minivans allowed). If the
average number of people per vehicle is 2 then you have 20,000 people
traveling south, and 2,000 people traveling north (10:1). Therefore the
ratio of packets should be fairly close to the ratio of bytes. Where does
this scenario go wrong?
