As an aside, the sign of Capricorn is often associated with social
status, government and career options (because it is the natural ruler
of the 10th House). In November of 1989, Saturn (ruler of Capricorn)
was IN Capricorn and conjunct Neptune (idealism, and illusion).
Neptune was discovered in 1846 and The Communist Manifest published in
1848; perhaps, once this illusory ideal came into contact with the
deadly father time of Saturn, IN Capricorn, the end was nigh. Of
course, on Nov. 27th of 2008, Pluto entered Capricorn, where it will
stay until March 24th, 2023, when it moves into Aquarius, and the
global obsession (represented by Pluto) moves back into humanitarian
issues rather than on governmental systems and social structures.
That could be good or bad, though. It would be good, if we can focus
on meing more humanitarian, but, it could also indicate that we will
be required to focus on humanitarian needs because we became so
globally destitute over the Pluto-in-Capricorn years. Time will
tell.

Perhaps, on a happier note, our Muslim friends will be happy to see
the Venus-Moon conjunction, this evening. The Star and Crescent will
grace the SW skies just after sunset. The Moon should be about 3
degrees above Venus, if you don't have the massive clouds that we seem
to have, here, in Banbury.
