One of my sisters has sufferd badly from epilepsie all of her life, she must have in the region of 5-6 fits a day, mostly lasting for a few mins during which time she just sorta loses focus, gets all glassey eyed, and just sits there until it passes. She calls these type of fits her auruas, because that is indeed what she sees when having them. Of course she is also a dedicated and commited Pagan, I just wonder how much ones belife system dictates ones experainces when it comes to this sort of thing. I myself have only seen such a thing as can be described as an aura oncein my life. I was very stoned, and in a house where a meditation session was going on, with the aid of an accomplished digiredoo player, and very much 'tranced out' at the time.
