I think one of the key factors in the collective mentality obstacle is the lack of insight into "post collective mentality". If you focus on how it would be in a collective mentality world you would see the possibility as a reality. Rosey brings up mother nature and natural disaster without referencing what it would be like if there were a collective mentality in place prior to the natural disaster. One of many examples being hurricane Katrina and the lack of preparation prior to a "predicted natural disaster". Imagine coupling technological advances with collective mentality. It's a win win situation. The collective mentality allows for the ultimate preparation for disaster, disease, catastrophe etc, through simple bypass of the current system of "cost effectiveness" which constantly leaves us one step behind. I would think, regardless of the success estimate, anyone would admit that collective mentality is and would be a great advancement in the progress of humanity. If thousands of years without collective mentality is any testament, we should give it our all to bring it about. Warning: If collective mentality does not take place in the next 2 years, I'm going back to Saturn. In the umbra is where I reside, no morning glory grows there my friends.
