Fame is a terrible burden and must weigh heavy on the gifted, I think-
especially for those who deal with words as their raw clay. But it
infects the lives of other creators as well- painters, composers, etc.
The suicide can be swift or slow. Swift is dramatic. Slow is quietly
letting go. It might be allied with hubris and believing you are an
agent of change- godlike-when you are merely mortal limited by a
lifespan, corrected on a daily basis of false presumptions/
expectations, powerless to rule your tiny kingdom beset with riots
from other minds and emotions.
