See "Horse Soldiers"- a new review at the NYTimes. I have bookcases in every room except bathrooms in my house plus use the public library. For all the books I have read over a lifetime, I'm sad to say I either read them when I was too young or when too old and a lot of exquisite stuff has turned into mental mashed potatoes.
