That is a cool story Orn! Ageism is really a nuisance but most understood by those who have aged and retain a healthful mind and body. Being very fit myself, I understand it well. I find that without person to person contact the age factor takes precedence. If I'm calling about a position in a band, let's say, and reveal my age over the phone, it doesn't go over well but if I can avoid the age issue in discussion and have a face to face meeting and play the music, there isn't a problem because I don't appear to be that old and so increase the fitting in factor, of course the professionalism helps ;-). Years of good food, exercise and fun can slow down the aging process, getting plenty of rest and avoidance of stress, being happy with your self and your life also increases the quality of life, and yes, of course, the good genes!
