I personally do not feel you can separate the brain from emotions and experience/memory in its everyday tasks. Exceptions would be math and tough science like physics, engineering, etc. It perhaps is one of the reasons religions, modern therapy and other attempts(including rx) has failed to harmonize the individual and/or society. The arts come closer to striking some sort acceptance of the human predicament as it juggles between form and matter- but the have their own scale of excellence or failure, as well.
