This issue, food, its production, sale, control etc. is one of the ‘big’ ones as I see it. The same for the right to die, health care, water etc. There are too many current day issues to be an effective and knowledgeable advocate for all that are important to us unless one becomes a professional. Often, vested interests launch economic and propaganda wars against the general populous. The above is not exempt. Even though about 80% of our food id genetically engineered and an equivalent amount is corn/soy based, public funding continues to support a system of monetarily based rather than health based production, distribution and sales due to the current lobbyist, funding and oversight situation.
