Yes of course. Art is a funny old thing and means differnt things to differant people. I belive though that the artist puts something of herself into her art, reveals some part of her pysche, opens up for all to view a part of what it is that makes her tick.
This I feel is a great gift to us, yes they should get payed. I know a fair few artist of differant stamps, musicians, painters, comic books, and writers. What I see in common with all of these people is this need to open up , to reveal themselves, offten their art consummes all of their time, what other job can they do, pay them, yes sir!
