I thought I was unpacking it in the following statement.

Exactly what I'm saying, those that act in the same way their
persecutors acted are literally condoning the behavior.
Group B is being stepped on by group A, group B claims that it is not
right, unjust and discriminatory. Group B after so many years
elevates to a level of equality and then proceeds to step on group A
forgetting and disregarding that they claimed it was not right, unjust
and discriminatory.
In that sense they are now saying it is okay to step on people but now
it's someone else's turn to get stepped on.
