I suggest you seek counseling. ;-) Hah Don, First off thank you for the concern you show over my mental state. However can you not see that what you have done here is show compassion to a stanger? Is it then really that far a stretch for me to counsel the same for all others? I do not think that what I say is unreasonable, indeed I too find it odd that people think that compassion should be meted out whilley-nilley with seemingly no logical rules. I understand emotion, and those that call for revenge and show a lack of compassion are operating on an emotinal level. Now don't get me wrong here I have said in the past that we should get emotional over certian things, I know I do, but I was thinking about it yesterday evening and it occours to me that the idea of revenge at it's core is no more than taking glee from the suffering of others. I just cannot do that, and yes I have heard the argument before that by some acts a human somehow becomes less human, or even should not be counted as human. This too is an odd philosphy to me. Bleeding heart, yes I have been called that, liberal, fluffy bunny, all sorts and I take that as a compliment, why should I take it any other way?
