I was on a Sikh forum today and a question was asked along the lines
of:

'Is lord Krishna an avatar of Vishnu, or Waheguru?' (What Sikhs
normally call God)

One of the answers contianed the line:

'God is present in everyone, but we are like wood. An Avatar is like
the wood on fire'

This from an elderly Canadian Sikh who has over the years gained my
respect, and paints an extraordinary picture with his words.
