When you say 'we always', I'm assuming you mean yourself and those in
your frame of reference.

Becoming discontent after being content is not true contentment.  What
a contentment is based on has great bearing upon it's truth.
Happiness can change as we are happy that it rains and then we are
happy that the sun shines but overall we are content that we have
seasons to enjoy.
