M - You are asking a question I have been investigating for the last 40 years.

My findings (in this work in progress) are tentatively to be published in late
December this year.

The name of my book is: Demystifying Meaningful Coincidences -
(Synchronicities):

The Evolving Self, The Personal Unconscious, and The Creative Process.

I don't mean to put you off - but your question is complex and I feel I can't
do it justice at the

present moment.

I do not know if this is a coincidence, but I just read an article
about coincidence ;). ( I bet you did not saw that Joke coming) It was
about the Global conscious project. According to this project humans
are connected with each other. And all things that happen seem to
cluster when you compare. Paul Kammerer said: coincidences appear in
series, he made a law about it. My point is, research show that
coincidence do happen but when you put them together they happen in
patterns. The paradox is underlined by John von Neumann (if I did not
misunderstood this guy).
A while ago, I heard about Gustav Jung and synchronicity. (Specially
meaningful coincidences) but I forgot what the conclusion was. Anyway,
when can you say something is a coincidence or when can you say it is
not?

So I was wondering
