Yep I agree a hell of a lot.

I live in a bad area of London, shootings, mugging, murder all part
and parcel of the area, I can't sleep unless I hear the familier buzz
of sirens out and about. Yet I have no problems at all living where I
do.

Tattoes, bikers jacket, and a streetwise strut does indeed drastiocly
cut down on looking like a victim.  Of course it could also be my age.
