I guess people aren't planting many seeds of peace these days, Molly.
I'm as disappointed as you.

Come On Folks!! It's an easy question and you know if you don't
answer everyone is going to think you are an Ogre.

Being that it was asked of me first, I should contribute.

For myself I'd have to say I start out most everyday sitting in the
hot tub relaxing while putting the day into perspective, this brings
me peace. I'm usually naked, floating in the warm water, just me and
the cosmos, no sounds just thoughts. Sometimes I'm up at 4am and I
can gaze at the stars and ponder. In the winter months when I open
the cover and see the vaporous steam dissipating into the cold air, it
sets off a serene mood which signifies, to me, that it is a unique
experience.
I call my family as much as possible and when I call my 87 year old
mom I usually find a nostalgic web site from her era to read from in
order to stimulate her memory and talk about the past, she begins to
open up and share her personal experiences of those times. I find
that it keeps her in tune and gives her the feeling that she is not
alone in her life experience. Though I didn't live through those
times, to her it is as if I did when I'm talking about it all as if I
was there at the time with her.
I volunteer for various projects in my town and share my peace and
humor with the towns people everywhere I go and with everyone I meet.
I can tell when someone is down and offer some subtly to alleviate
their dwelling. Life can be very difficult for people and I try to
make it better whenever I can.
The county can eat cow pies, they collect taxes and do whatever they
do and the same for the state. I don't know what I could do for my
country except to be a good citizen. The world is privy to my posts,
blogs and some my photography. A few people have my independently
produced music CD and poetry CD and I could only hope that something
positive comes out of it. I constantly give away prints of my artwork
and note cards and as my profile states, giving is a gift. When I
give something I know that person will one day give to someone else.
Giving creates a cycle of giving, like freecycle.org ,one of my
favorite places to give and shop. I'm hoping one day we can establish
a ME convention where we could all meet. Until then, Molly, we'll
have to meet in our dream, that is if we can synchronize our
coordinates.
