I hated Vista (64), but I've cut out most of it over the months. Down to barebones it's OK. Only use windows at all because students insist on using MS Office. I'd still be on DOS with ten quid of WP-SP-DP software given the chance. All this presentation malarkey reminds me of Blair and I get nauseous. One uni I do visiting lectures at uses Sun Rays - they are outstandingly piss and blind staff and students can't access them at all. I've been developing some voice to text software in this context for windows and find almost every update screws this and screen reading up. Thought of going back to ROM! This home machine is XP - so old my disk is pre-SP. I'd like to wipe the hard drive and re-install, but hear this is a real pain. Is W7 compatible with gas?
