Agreed. It's unfortunate that it can't be proven at the moment, but that doesn't mean that it will always be that way, as there were times not all that long ago when we didn't have ANY understanding of such things like gravity. Then again, maybe it's designed that way and having faith is part of the 'test' of this life. If THAT were the case, then one would expect to find things just as they are...and lo and behold, things are just as they are. Circular, yes; but possible. And, given certain scriptures, likely. Of course, scriptural 'evidence' is not likely to be seen by the scientific community as ACTUAL evidence (and I agree that, in the strictest sense, it shouldn't be) but, accepting, for argument's sake, that it IS evidential, then one would expect to be tested in just these kinds of ways by a deity who specifically states that He does just that. You see, if it really DOES come down to faith, then I pity those who rely solely on that which can be placed before their face, as they have missed the whole point of their lives. And if I'm wrong, then I have lost nothing; whereas, if I'm right, then those without faith in that One are in for a VERY rude awakening. And, as science tells us that the rate at which space-time is expanding is increasing, it would seem that (given my hypothesis that the shell of the hyperbolic medium is made of the early universe's missing anti-matter) Judgement Day is getting closer and closer, as the pull of opposite charges between our matter and the anti-matter is drawing us closer faster--just like two magnets that, when they reach a certain nearness, are drawn together VERY quickly. Keep reading the Qur'an, mate. There's a lot in there and, while its tone is quite scary in places, it's supposed to be...for a good reason. And I'm not trying to shove Islam down your throat, but, rather, to open your heart to the possibility that, in all actuality, it IS guidance from above, just as it is stated to be. It (the Qur'an) also states that He guides whom He will and leaves others to stray as He wills. For who can escape the One, if, indeed, that is what reality is? And there is NO scientific evidence against it. Only the strongest of some anti-theological scientists' hopes; which is, of course, bad science. ;-) > On Jan 12, 6:56 am, Pat <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > On 11 Jan, 22:09, Slip Disc <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > I don't see any evidence of fiddler closing eyes or exhibitions of > > > anger but I have seen an open minded view, clear evidence of > > > examination and exploration.
