fiddler, you're really going off half-cocked here. Orn certainly doesn't need any defence from me, but a bit more attention to his posts might have brought you to the realisation that he is anything but a fundamentalist. I don't share many of his positions, and you don't have to, but a bit of back-reading would teach you that he is a pretty rational, well-educated, deep-thinking character with a rather eclectic background in what might - very generally - be described as the "California Buddhist" tradition [sorry for the label, Orn, it's the best generalisation I can think of at the moment, even if it doesn't precisely fit :-)].
Why don't you use your much self-vaunted intelligence for a bit of reflection and discriminate thinking?
