“I don't sing because I'm happy; I'm happy because I sing.” -William James

When I was small my mother used to sing, "Que Sara Sara whatever will be will be, the future's not ours to see..." It always brought forth anger and frustration for me, how could all of it be laughed away so easily for her. Life teaches you things, I suppose, you can see it in the eyes. Perhaps in romancing existence I might believe in purpose, but most of it seems to be just functional, and that's a saving grace for anything out there pulling strings.

However, I do agree on many levels and I acknowledge that I am still on a journey. There are so many directions, I couldn't hazard a guess as to a destination. For me the feeling is kind of like being a cat in it's ninth life, if that makes any sense (not sure it does even to me). Maybe I will reach gnosis, or take on the Demiurge, who knows.
