Within a small margin of error we all wank. It might well be good to have some prepared to self-define in true terms about. The LDs have taken over in some polls, which at least exposes how very unfair our current system is. In 1951 Labour polled 51% of the popular vote and lost the election, so this is hardly new. We used to operate on the rotten borough system (back in the good old days when we slaughtered around the Empire without compunction as an Xtian moral force) - then various worthies could get in by getting their foxhunting hounds to vote for them or by buying a few rounds down the pub the few people with the vote frequented. Labour can now win outright with about 33% of the vote. We need proportional representation, but still haven't realised we will still be voting for the committee of a sad and outdated Club that operates in a few square yards of our wonderful capital city, itself populated mostly by foreigners.
