God is pure consciousness, formless, unborn, eternal, indestructible and the source, the spirit and the end of all. We are conscious, have a form, are born, live and die. Our only solace is that we arise from him, are upheld by him and go back to him. He is the Truth and we are just his reflections and vanish when the vessel dies.
