I have to admit Pat, that most of my mistakes seem to have been learning experiences designed to ensure I go on making better and better mistakes. I have, of course, no problems with Slip's libidinous memories, but with slippage to the libidinal economy. I have a feeling there is no future if all events in the past must remain as they were.
