I have never even seen unit 5 over here,, but then I do not get all the channels either.. Have been doing a lot of thinking about that,, Mostly writing a low grade book but my thoughts are space travel will actually evolve over the years and you will have high speed travel say about 75% of the speed of light ,, for long distance ,, stopping is the problem..
I think a new form of propulsion will be developed that involves remaining still and pulling the fabric of the universe past you,, that way you are not violating the speed of light as you are stationary,, Very few will ever have it and the knowledge be hidden to keep criminals from having the ability to use it to harm humanity. but I also think that it will have limits to around approximately 3 times the speed of light essentially creating your own private worm hole. Because to create these worm holes it will require intense magnetic fields you will find you have a problem with dust collecting on your hull and it will have to be cleaned away,, Space life will mainly consist of repairing and expanding ones habitat producing food, refining raw materials that will be for sale and an emphasis on research.. I would wish for a peaceful society, but we are cursed with a group of greedy people and those that thrive off hate. The theives who do not want to work,, but there will be peaceful habitats mainly out in the Oort cloud. Crazy ideas that do not make sense.
