When your children are adults they must look after themselves- your work is done, though love remains. One's "morality" may place them in a socio-economic position that isn't moral at all, in a universal sense. The spirit goes beyond death as evidenced by our respect for past prophets and wise men/women and our own memories. Death allows us to give up our flesh to the worms- we are recycled.
