It's getting to sound like avoiding the planned destination and still
having to choose the least worst alternative, with no one clutching a
bottle of Scotch at one of Gabby's tarot readings hinting at an escape to
the kitchen and a better oblivion. Not that I get invited to the tarot
readings - I always tell the Masons I'm Jewish to avoid having to embarrass
them by rejection too. I understand Gauss was impressed by the difficulty
of proving even simple results when entering the Gabbnumbery field, and
this may be why he began to see space-time as warped. Einstein at least
left us the option of jumping off a cliff to retain straight lines.

These short films may help - http://curtisnewswipe.blogspot.co.uk/
understanding of Gabby's cards.
