In a sense, literature has done some of this with the 'noble savage' theme - though anthropology tells us primitive societies are very violent, even when we factor war into ours. Kids enjoying each other, like my dogs meeting their pals in the park, always moves me. 'Buster' is a particular friend of my two. One has to do something to organise children's play (and the dogs') and eliminate obvious dangers. This includes difficult reasoning on not over-supervising. We make provision for the future, rather than live every day as it comes. I think we have become neurotic on how we do this and should be providing security in order that we can be more in the moment and not worrying so much. Sadly, much living in the moment is consumed with the wrong things already.
