I have now checked a Vista and an XP SDK as well as the W7 and W8. Still no sign of intrin.h in winnt.h. While I can't *prove* that no (possibly incremental) release of the Windows SDK has ever included this, I can say that none of the ones I have checked have it. Saying "IIRC" suggests that perhaps your memory of this one line in this one file from ~8 year old software may not be correct. So unless and until someone offers evidence to the contrary, I'm going to stand by my (amended) statement: (Except for ARM which was added in W8) winnt.h doesn't include intrin.h. While supporting ARM may be a good thing, I don't have the hardware for it. And since the asm opcodes for ARM are different from i386, virtually all the intrinsics will need to be re-written. Perhaps that's something that should wait until after v3. At this point, I see no reason not to accept this lrotl patch. dw ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LIMITED TIME SALE - Full Year of Microsoft Training For Just $49.99! 1,500+ hours of tutorials including VisualStudio 2012, Windows 8, SharePoint 2013, SQL 2012, MVC 4, more.
