FWIW, it appears ncurses now works on Windows: ftp://invisible-island.net/ncurses/win32/ I haven't tried them, but those packages should be usable with a mingw-w64 cross-compiler by unpacking them into your sysroot-prefix (e.g. /usr/x86_64-w64-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/).
