It is "better" to use
C:\sw\mingw-builds\x32-4.8.1-posix-dwarf-rev5\i686-w64-mingw32\[include,lib].
Then you won't mess with GCC's internal stuff and be independent of the
exact version of GCC you're using.
Just ignore the complex directory structure and the top-level include, lib
directories. That will save you a lot of headache ;-)
