I do agree that we don't need to complicate development ATM. Current development model seems fine to me. Master branch is mostly stable (well, it could be better, but it's already way better than in the past and it's good enough now, IMO). It's also flexible enough so that we may change release model without changing other aspects of development, like staging branches. Being a small developer team may be a good thing. Changing things is easy, so we may just try new things like 'light' release without changing development model or even planning if the next release will be the same. We may reevaluate things based on how things work out once we try.
