I tried w. ID3D12Debug* from D3D12GetDebugInterface, which succeeds but there 
is never any output printed to stdout.

There is also this post

explaining how to set a custom callback, however the latest mingw version I 
downloaded from (11.2.0.07112021 from chocolatey) doesn't have the 
ID3D12InfoQueue1 yet nor does 
https://github.com/mingw-w64/mingw-w64/blob/master/mingw-w64-headers/include/d3d12sdklayers.h.
