does this mean we need a glibc-2.7 with --enable-kernel=2.4.0
Currently, yes.
I haven't tried building it, since I assume it will take up a lot
of space and it will take a lot of time to compile.
Well, on a iMac it takes just approx. 20 minutes and some GByte to
build a full Linux/glibc/gcc cross-toolchain (i.e. 2 passes through
building glibc & gcc). The resulting files are quite small :)
Or is there something in the debootstrap process to get such a glibc
from the Debian repositories?
There is no glibc compiled for 2.4.0 for the mips architecture in
debian. (afaik)
Ok. Then it makes sense to try to cross-compile a glibc-2.7 for mipsel
with 2.4 headers...
