Ok, this appears to be the symptom of a 2.6 kernel in the 2.4 partition.

Well, for the Letux 400 the official recovery image is here (may be different
from the 3mx or trendtac recovery images):

But if F3 does not respond, you have the same issue we are trying to solve...

Did you correctly install a rootfs on the second (ext2/3) partition?
