Hi Jacob,

I have tried cranking *everything* to the max using mixerctl, and it does not seem to make any difference. All settings right now are pushed to the maximum.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Chris

Okay...

This is direclty from my dmesg output:

-------------------<snip>-----------------

eso0 at pci0 dev 7 function 0 "ESS SOLO-1 AudioDrive" rev 0x02: ES1946 rev E, irq 5
eso0: mapping Audio 1 DMA using VC I/O space at 0xfc70
audio0 at eso0
opl0 at eso0: model OPL3

-------------------</snip>-----------------

And this is from 'mixerctl -av' :

-------------------<snip>-----------------
inputs.dac=112,112 volume
inputs.mic=0,0 volume
inputs.line=0,0 volume
inputs.fmsynth=112,112 volume
inputs.mono_in=0 volume
inputs.cd=0,0 volume
inputs.auxb=0,0 volume

try cranking up the inputs. not with kmix, but with mixerctl.
