I think he means lpr listening on v6 and pushing out to the v4 address
on the other end.

There's no need for extra shit to do what has been possible for years.

Now, my printer already supports v6 but I still prefer printjobs to be
sent to the workstation next to it running OpenBSD.  For one, because
it has spooling so I don't have to have both devices powered 24/7. 
Another reason is the fact that I don't trust the network stack (v4 or
v6) on these HP printers enough to expose it to the internet. 
Besides, the printer doesn't do /etc/hosts.lpd or pf to limit incoming
printjobs to my own machines.
