What is the reason for politicians? Are they not the ones that are supposed to be writing these bills? Is that not the reason that our Forefathers set up the system to have representation that would represent us?
Yes, I could write a bill. It would be really simple. And maybe that is where we need to return. Tell a Senator or Rep that they can sponsor X number of bills during one session and all must be written by their constituents. So they can sponsor 20 instead of the 100 to 200 that most seem to think they need to. These 20 must be written by constituents and can't be longer than 10 pages. They must be enforceable from the highest law enforcement to the lowest law enforcement. Finally they must serve a purpose. How's that?
