Hi All,
I have a weird problem with ExtApp on a particular Ubuntu 10.04 laptop.
The render window top right corner menu is replaced by white rectangle
rectangle which is a "classic" problem as I understand. What is unusual is
that corresponding menus are not functional as following:
- the crosshair menu does not popup at all
- the maximization/minimimization works
- the settings (layout selection etc) is not functioning and when I click
on it the portion of the desktop gets displayed in place of the popup menu
instead.
After each click on that area the following message gets outputted to the
terminal:
X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8
Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea)
Resource id: 0x...
Everything else is perfectly functional as far as I can tell.
This problem is present for various MITK versions including the one from
mid-2011 (compiled with gcc-4.4.3, Qt 4.6.2, VTK 5.6), the latest one (two
days old, compiled with gcc-4.6, Qt 4.6.2, VTK 5.8) , and for MITK 3M3. Two
other laptops (one with Ubuntu 10.04 and another with 12.04) work just fine.
Both 10.04 laptops ("working" and not-working") have NVIDIA/Optimus
combination so I am using the Bumblebee to turn the graphics card on
through the "optirun" command on both. However the problem is present does
not matter if I use "optirun" or not.
Can you give me some pointers on what might have been wrong?
Thank you very much in advance.
Alex
