Well grepping the src it looks like 'enginefilterblock.cpp' and
'enginefilteriir.cpp' are the relevant source files. EngineFilterIIR
takes an array of coefficients which seem to determine how the EQ
works. I have no idea how the math behind that works (I wish I did).

The harder parts will be working out how to dynamically add controls
at runtime nicely. Mixxx is pretty static about its skins and things..
And you'll need to edit dlgprefeq.cpp to add the relevant
configuration knobs. I'm no Qt expert myself so I can't help you with
the details there but umm please don't be discouraged!
