just a note...
when Jaunty came out, i made a fresh install. since then there were 2 or 3
new updates for the kernel. with all this new kernel versions i had
problems with my wifi connection. from time to time it get disconnected
without my intervention. but this is not happend me with the original
kernel from 9.04.
i know this is not your problem, but as far as i understood, you didn't test
kernel 2.6.28-11-generic cuz you upgrade directly to the last version.
