The only thing I've got against it is the naming... It would seem I'm not the only one to create miss gnomers (or maybe I still am?).
A Prepare feature to me sounds like a view I'd use as a scratch pad for preparing a set. Although this would help in a way, probably. Maybe a mockup or a screenshot would a bit. The actual feature in itself sounds good. It sounds like something I would use on my netbook, for instance, to do bulk BPM detection.
