We could do this, but it's a huge boilerplate PITA to load all the
symbols at runtime. It's probably nice in the long run, though.
Probably worth a bug, this is something I can see myself doing on a
particularly rainy Sunday afternoon (Dutch weather...).

I'm fairly sure I've seen soundsourcem4a debs somewhere but I can't
seem to find build files for it. It is possible, of course, as long as
we have someone willing to 1) build it and 2) distribute it.

Dynamic loading of the proper libraries, and parties willing to build
and distribute binaries that could potentially run afoul of copyrights
or patents in the US and potentially other jurisdictions.
